Anyways, the Jacobson trail system is pretty short and not too difficult of a climb up. The trails are well cleared and you can also connect up with Saddlerock from there. We took the jaunt halfway or more over to Saddlerock, but coming from this side, rather than by Appleatchee, it was a lot more dangerous because of loose rock.
Overall a good, quick hike with great views of Wenatchee and the surrounding areas. Quite safe and accomplishable for younger kids if you stay on the Jacobson trails. I'm sure it will be even lovelier here in a couple weeks when more flowers start blooming.
