Been quiet around the blog here the last few days...I've been working on last minute things for our Women's Retreat and then being at our retreat. We all had a wonderful time feasting on God's word, fellowshipping together, enjoying lots of good food, and building relationships. The theme was Drawing Near to God and Linda, our speaker, broke that down into three parts - trust, delight, and rest. She used many sections all through the bible, but a good portion from Ps 37. Her ideas built as we trust God to work in our life how He wills, we can find delight in Him, and rest both here on earth knowing He is working for our best and our holiness as well as eternal rest in heaven where the best is yet to come.
Ps 37:3,4,7
Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart. Rest in the LORD and wait patiently for Him;
