Dave was off today and the kids have been wanting to get our tree for a long time now. We love having a real tree so we went down to the tree lot by Office Depot and found a great one. We decided it was particularly good because we were easily able to get it through our door...in years past there has been some pushing and shoving to get it in. :) The kids decided they wanted colored lights this year rather than the white ones we normally do. So after getting the lights on, it was evident that one string had a short that would randomly go off and then back on...so off they came and the white ones went on. Josh was sad about that. By that time, none of us were really so excited about putting on the ornaments...eventually they made their way on and the tree looks just delightful. There is something about the twinkling lights and beautiful and kid-made ornaments that I greatly enjoy...
