It's been a busy week around here until today...we just enjoyed some quietness and random opening of a few gifts. We like to space gifts out a bit so there aren't bazillions all at one time. Today I put slips of paper into our mostly empty Countdown-to-Christmas box with things to do on them: open a toy gift, open a clothing gift, read a book, have a candy cane, etc. Every time the jingle bells rang a kiddo could pick a numbered box and do whatever the slip inside said. Josh kept asking for the jingle bells to ring more. We opened a couple of last gifts this evening...one of which was a Webkinz chicken for Josh. He immediately said, "This is Bobby's (his favorite stuffed chick) father." And later he mentioned, "They have the same heritage." :)
